Michael Stover joins United Precious Metal Refining Inc. with 22 years of technical experience in the jewelry casting world.
Alden, N.Y.—United Precious Metal Refining Inc. has announced the appointment of a new director.

Michael Stover is joining the Alden, New York-based company as director of technical services, with 22 years of experience in the jewelry industry sharing his technical expertise with jewelers and casters.

He recently presented a paper at the Santa Fe Symposium titled, “How Process Variables Impact Investment Removal Properties.”

UPMR Vice President David Siminski said in a statement, “Mike brings with him a wealth of knowledge and technical experience that will be invaluable to our jewelry manufacturer customer base.

“We also recently installed a new research and development facility for testing our new alloy formulations. Having Mike’s experience and know-how with casting will be instrumental in this process.”

UPMR sells fine gold and silver grain produced from recycled jewelry, karated grain, master alloys, solder, wire, sheet and tube, and bullion products. The company has over 25,000 registered customers and distributors in 21 countries.

Stover will provide technical support to UPMR clients, assisting them via the company tech hotline: 800-999-FINE (3463) for domestic customers or 716-683-8334 then option 3 for customers outside of the U.S.

Stover said, “I firmly believe in building reciprocal technical relationships with customers. The focus forward is to further enhance the strong technical team and capacities we have here at United PMR.”


Stover will begin travelling to jewelry trade shows in 2020, UPMR said.
