Geneva--Akstrom Imports Inc., the official distributor of Swiss watch brand Bedat & Co. in the United States and Canada, also will now distribute 88 Rue du Rhone timepieces in the same territories.
88 Rue du Rhone, which was founded in 2012 by Pierre and Elie Bernheim, the grandsons of the late watchmaker Raymond Weil, offers both quartz and mechanical Swiss-made watches. It is distributed in approximately 40 markets in more than 600 stores globally, 200 of which are in the U.S.
In announcing its new partnership with Akstrom, 88 Rue du Rhone said, “It is time to transition North America’s distribution to a U.S. management team with a proven track record for success.”
In addition to distribution, Akstrom will launch a billboard advertising campaign in the United States through its partnership with CBS and Clear Channel. 88 Rue du Rhone did not respond to a request for additional information on the campaign as of press time.
“With over 5,000 clients in the U.S.A. and Canada, its commitment with Bedat and success with different brands such as Swarovski, we fully trust our partners and are looking forward to developing the brand,” 88 Rue du Rhone CEO Pierre Bernheim.
