The Italian brand best known for its wrist-wrapping snakes continues to make its mark in the world of serious watchmaking with the introduction of the Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater.
The introduction comes as the Japanese company makes a push to emphasize its higher-end timepieces, particularly in the U.S. market.
Called the Exospace B55 Connected and geared toward aviation professionals, the smartwatch can display notifications about incoming calls, texts and emails.
The watch company has teamed up with Silicon Valley companies HP and Fullpower Technologies Inc. to create two different smartwatches.
Revealed in New York on Monday morning, the 46 mm titanium watch has the look of the brand’s Carrera model and retails for $1,500.
The Swiss watch brand is teasing the upcoming launch of its smartwatch, revealing its name and posting a photo on Twitter that offers a glimpse of the timepiece.
