Pomellato’s Latest IWD Campaign Calls for Women’s Freedom
It’s the sixth annual video championing women’s rights in honor of International Women’s Day.
The Italian jewelry brand launched its sixth annual “Pomellato for Women” advertising campaign this week in honor of the March 8 holiday.
CEO Sabina Belli began the Pomellato for Women effort in 2017 to hold a conversation around women’s empowerment.
This year, the dialogue is focused on women’s freedom, with campaign stars sharing their thoughts on what freedom means to them.

The campaign video features actress, feminist, and Pomellato for Women ambassador Jane Fonda; actress, entrepreneur, and producer Joey King; Italian volleyball champion and LGBTQ+ activist Paola Enogu; Iranian rock climber and women’s rights activist Nasim Eshqi; and CEO Belli.
Each have taken risks to champion women’s empowerment, from Fonda’s outspoken calls for antiviolence throughout her career to Eshqi’s participation in her sport despite threats and suppression by the Iranian government.
“Unfortunately, our freedoms as women and people continue to come under threat across the world—this year it has become especially evident,” said Belli.
“We are being suppressed, challenged, reduced, silenced, killed. Everyone is responsible to rise up and speak out against our loss of freedoms; I am proud to present the Pomellato for Women video alongside some of our most inspirational and powerful sisters, to speak our truth and to raise our voices to protect freedom.”
Belli, who became CEO in 2015, is the creator of Pomellato’s tagline: “Pomellato, caring for women since 1967.”
In addition to raising awareness, the jewelry maker also will participate in a charity campaign this year through the Kering Foundation, which partners with organizations that help prevent violence against women or help victims.
The upcoming campaign will benefit partner FreeForm, a Los Angeles-based charity that helps domestic violence survivors with financial security to aid in their long-term safety.
The Kering Foundation was started in 2008 in light of the fact that, worldwide, one in three women is or will be a victim of violence in her lifetime. The foundation has worked with local organizations in France, Italy, Mexico, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and South Korea.
