Paris—A newly created jewelry show will bring high jewelry to the masses in Paris.

ArtVendôme, a nod to the city’s Place Vendôme, will hold its 2024 inaugural show at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris from Jan. 31 to Feb. 3.

The show will move from the temporary exhibition hall to a permanent home at the Grand Palais starting in January 2025, when the historic monument reopens.

The show will be open to the public, inviting visitors, collectors, and enthusiasts to celebrate the art form.

ArtVendôme is the brainchild of founder and CEO Richard Steeve Giraud, a lifelong jewelry collector, who recruited a team of specialists to organize the event.

“Jewelry has always been my passion, and I believe it is an art form that deserves to be celebrated. It is a universal form of artistic expression that fascinates everyone,” said Giraud.

“The world of jewelry is extraordinary, and my desire was to create a fair offering an unparalleled opportunity for all participants to be part of this transformative movement.”

The fair aims to “unite collectors and new generations, all invited to collectively envision the future of jewelry,” said the company.

“The fair will embrace innovation, while also delving into jewelry’s captivating historical, social and cultural significance.”

ArtVendôme’s advisory board is chaired by jewelry historian and writer Vivienne Becker

“ArtVendôme brings together the maisons that matter, designers who dream, the brands who break boundaries, today’s leaders and innovators of tomorrow’s world of jewels,” said Becker.

Other board members include Carol Woolton, author, broadcaster, and contributing editor of British Vogue, Fabrice Bousteau, editorial director of Beaux Arts Group, Pearl Lam, founder of Pearl Lam Galleries, jewelry collector Suzanne Tennenbaum, and art collector Sydney Picasso, the daughter-in-law of famed artist Pablo Picasso.

“Fine jewelry is in fact art unknown, sophisticated, conceptual but also meditative and magical, imbued with the incredible power of stones,” said Bousteau. “Let’s be illuminated by the beauty of these fascinating objets d’art in Paris next January.”

Bousteau will also curate an exhibition for the show, exploring jewelry history across ages and cultures.

Woolton, referred to as “the voice of ArtVendôme,” will create a cultural program for the show, including talks with specialists.

ArtVendôme will form a Selection Committee, with members to be announced later, to choose exhibitors with “diverse perspectives, artistic expressions, visions and rich heritage.”

An initial list of exhibitors for the show will be announced in September with tickets available in the fall.
