Unique Designs Acquires China Pearl
The move will allow the manufacturing company to offer a more “diverse and comprehensive” range of products.
The company’s offering includes Chinese freshwater pearls, Japanese Akoya cultured pearls, white and golden South Sea pearls from Australia and Southeast Asia, and Tahitian Black Pearls from French Polynesia.
It serves a customer base that spans from department stores and chain stores to independent retailers.
The company also produces pearl jewelry, offering private label goods and other services such as customized boxes and packaging.
“China Pearl brings with it a legacy of quality and innovation. [Its] product line complements ours, creating a synergy that will allow us to offer a more diverse and comprehensive range of products to our customers,” said Albert Franco, CEO of Unique Designs.
Unique Designs also owns Mercury Ring, a lab-grown diamond supplier, and Tanya Creations, a fashion jewelry design company.
“This diversity is not just about having more to offer, but about meeting the varied needs of our customers, about being a one-stop solution for them. China Pearl’s customers include some of the most respected names in the industry. We are confident that this new addition will significantly diversify the range of jewelry offerings from our group, providing our clients with a wider spectrum of products,” said Franco.
Harold Jabarian, CEO of China Pearl, established the company in 1983.
He said he was happy to see the company move into the hands of a “dynamic company” like Unique Designs.
