Uneek Hires Two Regional Vice Presidents of Sales
George R. Curth is responsible for Florida and Georgia while Chris Matty will oversee the eastern U.S.
Los Angeles—Diamond jewelry company Uneek has added more to its sales team.
The company has named George Curth as its regional vice president of sales for Florida and Georgia and Chris Matty as regional vice president of sales for New England, the Mid-Atlantic, the Carolinas and Kentucky.
Curth started in the jewelry industry as a bench jeweler. He also worked for 10 years in retail, holding positions at stores such as Overholt Jewelers and Mayors Jewelers, eventually becoming a travelling sales representative for the next 35 years with Goldman, Simon Golub, A. Jaffe and Simon G.
Matty, meanwhile, developed an appreciation for luxury through his father’s success in the jewelry business.
His experience in the high-end world includes working with Mercedes Benz, Cadillac and, most recently, Gumuchian and ColorMasters.
He started with Gumuchian right after graduating from college, growing his territory every year for four years.
Both of the new hires will be at the Uneek booth at the upcoming Luxury trade show in Las Vegas.
The news of their appointments follows closely on the company’s announcement earlier this month that Cortland Shopper is the new vice president of sales.
