Basel--The Rapaport Group, the organization known for diamond pricing, is getting into the trade show game with the launch of a diamond-centric show scheduled to take place in conjunction with Baselworld.
Rapaport announced Tuesday that its inaugural fair, The Diamond Show, will take place March 27 and 28 and March 30 and 31 in Basel. It will be closed on the Jewish Sabbath, March 29, due to the religious observances of show organizers.
This coincides with the dates for Baselworld 2014, which is scheduled for March 27 to April 3.
The Diamond Show will feature polished stones from 60 diamond manufacturers and dealers and a special salon for natural fancy colored diamonds. A range of sizes will be available, from smaller goods to “large and extraordinary diamonds” and special cuts, the Rapaport Group said.
It will take place in the Markthalle building, located near the Basel SBB train station. The Diamond Show is open to the jewelry trade as well as private collectors and investors.
More information is available on The Diamond Show wesbite or by emailing info@thediamondshow.net.
