2 New Jewelry Events to Connect Suppliers and Sellers
JewelPoint and GoldPoint will provide gold, loose gemstones and unbranded finished gemstone jewelry to the trade.
New York—Two new jewelry trade events are aimed at matching fine jewelry sellers and buyers, to fill what industry executives say is a gap in the market.
JewelPoint, happening in October, will provide hard-to-source gold, loose gemstones, unbranded finished gemstone jewelry and estate suppliers from vetted sources to the trade.
It follows the example of GoldPoint, which took place in San Diego last year and will return in February 2019. GoldPoint matched private label gold manufacturers from Peru, Turkey, Italy, India, Israel and France with buyers, merchandizing executives and CEOs of more than 30 regional chain and volume jewelry companies.
The brainchild of Nancy Robey of The Nancy Robey Partnership and Holly Granofsky of The Social Sparkle, GoldPoint proved so successful that the duo has now partnered with Connecting Point Marketing Group to continue the endeavor and introduce JewelPoint to the trade.
Meant to augment jewelry trade shows rather than replace them, the jewelry events are affiliated with Emerald Expositions, operator of shows like Couture and JA New York.
JewelPoint will take place October 9 to 11 at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla in San Diego, California, and GoldPoint will take place in February 2019, with the location to be announced at a later date.
“We are confident that we are providing both suppliers and buyers with exceptional value in the creation of these events,” Robey and Granofsky said in a press release.
“Many traditional and regional chain stores simply don't have the time or resources necessary to travel overseas to attend trade shows or meet with manufacturers and suppliers, and even if they are able to carve out the time, they face another obstacle in knowing how to work with these markets and who they can trust. We remove all of that guess work by doing the vetting for them, and then curating their appointment schedules during our hosted events with suppliers that can meet their specific needs. CPMG’s sophisticated model is a catalyst for the future success of these events.”
