WJA Accepting Applications for Student Scholarships
Students enrolled in jewelry or metalsmithing programs at accredited colleges or training schools now can apply for the organization’s scholarships, available in three categories.
Poughkeepsie, N.Y.--The Women’s Jewelry Association now is accepting applications for its scholarship program, open to students enrolled in a jewelry or metalsmithing program at an accredited college, university or training school.
Applicants do not need to be a WJA member to apply.
Scholarships will be awarded in three categories:
--The Designer/Creator category, based on images of finished pieces that are designed and created by the student;
--the Designer category, based on designs by the student including CAD drawings; and
--the Non-Designer category, an essay-based entry for those studying to be a gemologist, appraiser, watchmaker, bench jeweler or retailer.

Funds for the WJA Student Scholarships and grants are provided through direct member donations, the annual Awards for Excellence raffle, corporate sponsors, individual donors and chapters throughout the country.
