Here’s Another Way to Help the Amazon Through Jewelry
Blogger A Thousand Facets has organized a fundraiser in which donors are entered for a chance to win a piece of jewelry.
New York—Though the high-speed news cycle has mostly moved on from the burning Amazon rainforest, the fires are still raging and remain a problem.
Looking to help in her own way, one blogger is celebrating a social media milestone by helping to raise money.
The woman behind A Thousand Facets, who highlights the work of designers from around the world, hit 100,000 followers on Instagram and decided to mark the occasion by launching a fundraiser and giveaway in partnership with the Mothers of Invention podcast, who helped her pick the benefitting organization and is promoting the event.
They’ve collaborated with 14 artists, who each donated a piece from their collection for the cause, ranging from loose stones to finished earrings, rings and necklaces.
