TrueFacet Names Andrew Block President
The longtime Tourneau executive joins the online pre-owned marketplace, effective immediately.
New York--TrueFacet, the online marketplace that deals in pre-owned watches and jewelry, has created a new position, president and partner, and longtime watch executive Andrew Block will fill it.
Block spent more than 20 years at Tourneau, reaching the position of executive vice president of marketing and advertising, before becoming the president and CEO of global luxury consultancy Second Time Partners.
In 2015 he joined True Facet’s advisory board.
“Andrew is one of the most influential leaders in the industry with tremendous talent and a natural instinct to spot and capitalize on opportunities,” said Tirath Kamdar, founder and CEO of TrueFacet. “Being a mover and shaker, he will help propel TrueFacet to the next stage of growth, set standards in unchartered territories, and build a world-class experience for shoppers and brands.”
Block said: “I have been advising TrueFacet for over two years and strongly believe that they are well- poised with their digital platform, pulse on the millennial segment, and great customer service. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial affinity. Witnessing the paradigm shift in the industry and the significant opportunity it presents, I look forward to building TrueFacet into a global brand and commerce platform in the luxury watch and jewelry space. We’re going to be a game-changer.”
TrueFacet said that Block’s role will be to build and grow the company, partially through creating partnerships.
The venture capitalist-backed company was founded by Kamdar and Chris Chan in December 2013, officially launching in May 2014.
