Dallas--The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) has just updated its gemstone enhancement brochure, a 20-page booklet that provides comprehensive information on 16 different gemstones.
Gemstones and Enhancements - What You Should Know includes information on amethyst, aquamarine, cultured pearls, citrine, diamond, emerald, garnet, onyx, opal, peridot, sapphire, tanzanite, topaz, tourmaline and turquoise. The language used in the brochure is consistent with Federal Trade Commission guidelines and helps meet rules for proper disclosure of treated gemstones.
“These brochures increase consumer confidence by providing information that helps them better understand the gemstones and jewelry they are purchasing,” AGTA CEO Doug Hucker said. “They also provide a quick reference for sales associates when asked about specific gemstones.”
The brochures come in packs of 50 for $25. They can be ordered here online, by calling Charles Murrell at (800) 972-1162 or emailing sales@agta.org.
