TimeCrafters event returns to NYC this month
Brands including TAG Heuer, Audemars Piguet and Frédérique Constant will showcase their latest innovations and most iconic designs at the third annual TimeCrafters show, scheduled for May 16 to 18.
The three-day event, which started in 2012 as a way to pique public interest in mechanical watches and watchmaking, will take place at the Park Avenue Armory in New York. It includes private breakfast viewings for VIP shoppers and buyers, a charity benefit and general admission viewing.
Artisans from a number of brands will be on hand to give rare demonstrations of every stage of the watchmaking process, from gears to setting gemstones.
Auction house Christie’s, which is a sponsor of the show, will be on site with its private watch sales division to help guests navigate the transition from admiring timepieces on display to purchasing their own.
Educational seminars also will be offered for exhibition attendees, including Christie’s presentation “Trends in Watches and Jewelry: How to Build a Collection,” on May 17 at 11:15 a.m.
TimeCrafters will be open for general admission May 16 to 18 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Advance registration can be accessed here. The entrance fee is $10 online and $20 at the door.
Additional information on the TimeCrafters event can be found on TimeCrafters.com.
