The sixth annual Madison Avenue Watch Week, a week-long immersion in the art of watchmaking, is scheduled for April 13 to 20 in New York.
New York--The sixth annual Madison Avenue Watch Week, a week-long immersion in the art of watchmaking, is scheduled for April 13 to 20 in New York.
The event will feature 14 of the world’s top watch retailers and brands displaying their latest offerings from Baselworld and the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) show in Geneva.
Participants are: A. Lange & Söhne, Asprey, Cartier, Chopard, de Grisogono, Diesel, Fabergé, F.P. Journe, Frey Wille, Hublot, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Montblanc, Panerai and Vacheron Constantin.
This open-to-the-public event will take place during business hours in participating stores located on Madison Avenue between 57th and 86th streets in Manhattan.
According to the event’s organizers, Fabergé will show its watch grand prix-winning Lady Compliquée Peacock and the men’s Visionnaire Flying Tourbillon watch, both for the first time in the United States.
Chopard will present a special collection, and Hublot will host a cocktail reception for author/editor Aaron Sigmond’s newest book Drive Time: Watches Inspired by Automobiles, Motorcycles and Racing, with a forward by Jay Leno.
A Tourbillon Retrospective will celebrate the 25th anniversary of F.P. Journe’s first tourbillon timepiece. Meanwhile, Jaeger-LeCoultre will host a series of watchmaking classes, and A. Lange & Söhne has organized a collectors’ dinner as well as a 2016 novelty exhibition accompanied by beer and pretzels.
Asprey, de Grisogono, Frey Wille and Montblanc will all be introducing new models.
