Piece of the Week: Yael Sonia’s ‘Perpetual Motion’ Cuff
Summer days call for watermelon tourmalines, as featured in this kinetic style.
New York--Motion is at the heart of Yael Sonia’s design m.o., and was a theme from a select group of designers--think Fernando Jorge, Elie Top and Marie Mas--at the Couture show last month. A post shared by National Jeweler (@nationaljeweler) on Jul 7, 2017 at 7:08am PDT
Sonia’s “Perpetual Motion Plane Cuff,” which is National Jeweler’s Piece of the Week, debuted at the show.
It’s made in 18-karat yellow gold and accented with white diamonds. The watermelon tourmalines are set on an 18-karat gold bar, that slides back and forth when moved, sending the tourmalines spinning.
The playful design evokes the joy and sweetness of summer days.
The price of the Perpetual Motion Plane Cuff is available upon request. For more information, visit YaelSonia.com or contact the designer’s New York showroom at 212-472-6488 or info@yaelsonia.com.
