Marco Bicego Is Launching Floral Jewels for Spring
It’s a new direction for the Italian brand.
New York—Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking. But, actually, for Marco Bicego, they are.
The Italian jewelry brand has launched Petali, a departure from its signature assortment of classic chains and beads.
Petali is the brand’s first truly figurative collection, depicting the camellia flower—the namesake designer’s favorite bloom—in stud and drop earrings, necklaces and pendants, rings, bangles and bracelets.
The departure still feels like signature Bicego, however, with Petali’s petals resembling the teardrop motif from the Lunaria collection. As with the majority of the brand’s collections, Petali utilizes the hand-engraved bulino technique, lending the 18-karat yellow gold texture.
At their center, each camellia flower features a gold orb or white diamond accent. One special one-of-a-kind ring features tourmaline slices in lieu of golden petals.
The collection retails between $1,970 for a small ring to $12,940 for a full necklace.
It’s available now at Neiman Marcus, and will hit other retailers this summer.
