RapNet Members to Vote on Lab-Grown Diamond Listings
Results will be announced at the Rapaport breakfast event during the JCK Las Vegas jewelry trade show.
Las Vegas—Next week, RapNet members will vote on whether the diamond trading network should provide listing and pricing services for lab-grown diamonds.
Voting will take place on RapNet.com from Sunday, May 26, through Friday, May 31.
RapNet said the vote will provide it and the jewelry industry with input about the role of lab-grown diamonds to the trade.
The results will be announced during the Rapaport breakfast event, scheduled for Sunday, June 2 at the JCK Las Vegas jewelry trade show, and the final decision will be made by the RapNet management team.
The Rapaport breakfast’s keynote address, “Synthetic Ethics,” will be given by Martin Rapaport.
The event is open to the jewelry trade. Registration and information about the event can be found online.
The breakfast, as well as additional Rapaport “Ethical Sourcing” and “Appraiser” town hall meetings also will be broadcast live on the Rapaport Facebook page.
