Las Vegas—The American Gem Society Laboratories is opening its first take-in window in New York’s Diamond District, and it will be operated by Brinks from its offices in the 580 building.
AGS Labs offers a five- to seven-business day turnaround time on grading to all its clients. Ruth Batson, CEO of the AGS and AGS Labs, said the decision to open a take-in window in New York came about as the result of requests from clients, adding that the lab’s services are in “high demand.”
To mark the launch, AGS Labs and the Diamond Dealers Club of New York are offering free shipping to DDC members for 60 days, beginning March 13.
The day prior, March 12, at 1:30 p.m., the DDC is hosting a reception to commemorate the launch. AGS Labs Executive Director Peter Yantzer and Ash Shah, the AGS’ director of membership, will be on hand for a presentation and to answer any questions about the take-in window. Representatives from Brinks will be in attendance as well.
Brinks’ offices are located in Suite 400 of 580 Fifth Ave., at the corner of Fifth and 47th Street.
