Leo Schachter leads Israel’s diamond exporter list

Ramat Gan--For the fourth year in a row, Leo Schachter Diamonds exported more polished diamonds than any other company in Israel willing to release its data, figures published by the diamond controller’s office show.
The company recorded net exports of $288 million in 2014, topping the country’s No. 2 polished diamond exporter, M.I.D. House of Diamonds by more than $40 million.
According to the controller’s office, M.I.D.’s exports totaled $243 million.
Coming in third was A.A. Rachminov Diamonds with $219 million, followed by Niru Diamonds Israel ($156 million) and Andre Messika ($125 million.)
The Israel Diamond Controller’s Office releases its list of the country’s largest polished diamond exporters annually. The list does not include companies that request their data remain unpublished.
Rounding out the top 10 for the 2014 list were: Ofer Mizrahi Diamonds in sixth place with $105 million in polished diamond exports; D.N. Diamonds with $102 million; Yoshfe Diamonds International with $96 million; O.S.G. Polishing with $88 million; and, in 10th place, Poligem with $70 million in polished diamond exports.
