John Carter, Paula Crevoshay Among 2019 Spectrum Judges
The retailer and designer join three others in examining entries for the AGTA’s annual design and lapidary competition.
Dallas—The American Gem Trade Association has announced the judges for its 2019 AGTA Spectrum Awards.
They are:
--John L. Carter, retailer, Jack Lewis Jewelers
--Paula Crevoshay, designer, Mellika Company, Inc./Crevoshay
--Myriam Galli, manufacturer, Gemveto
--Brett Kosnar, lapidary, Kosnar Gem Co.
--Naomi Sarna, designer/lapidary, Naomi Sarna Designs
The jewelry design component of the awards is comprised of five categories: Bridal Wear, Business Day Wear, Classical, Evening Wear and Men’s Wear.
It also includes Platinum Honors, sponsored by Platinum Guild International, and the Gem Diva Awards, sponsored by the Women’s Jewelry Association.
Meanwhile, the AGTA Cutting Edge Awards honor loose colored gemstones in categories such as Classic Gemstones, Pairs and Suites and Objects of Art.

The competition is open to U.S. and Canadian designers and cutters.
The deadline for mail-in entries is June 28. The New York drop-off for entries is July 9 at the Intercolor USA offices on West 48th Street.
