John Varvatos elevates its men’s jewelry offerings
Men’s jewelry and accessory brand William Henry is partnering with well-known fashion brand John Varvatos to bring a selection from its newest jewelry collection into the latter’s boutiques.
McMinnville, Ore.--Men’s jewelry and accessory brand William Henry is partnering with well-known fashion brand John Varvatos to bring a selection from its newest jewelry collection into the latter’s boutiques.
The partnership includes all John Varvatos stores in New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, as well as the brand’s new boutique in London. The John Varvatos website also will sell the jewelry.
While the partnership isn’t the first time that John Varvatos has chosen to carry jewelry for men, the brand said the William Henry pieces retail for a higher price than its normal selection of men’s jewelry. The 16-piece collection ranges in price from $225 to $2,900, with most of the pieces falling in the $900 to $1,600 range.
Designer John Varvatos discovered the brand through singer Zac Brown of the Zac Brown Band, who is a mutual friend of both Varvatos and William Henry owner and designer Matt Conable.
“Zac told John about our brand, and gifted him his own William Henry pocketknife,” Conable said. “A couple of weeks later, John called me and told me his pocketknife had become one of the favorite things he had ever carried in his pocket.”
After that, Conable and Varvatos met to look at the brand’s full range of offerings, including its newest collection of jewelry for men.
For his stores, Varvatos himself selected a broad range of jewelry from the line, which was just introduced this summer and features sculpted sterling silver embellished with rare hand-forged metals and other “precious and exotic” materials.
The two companies already are discussing expanding the collection to John Varvatos stores worldwide in 2015 and also are working together to develop an exclusive collection available only in the boutiques.
Details of this collection are not yet available, though a William Henry spokesperson said it is slated to launch in the second half of 2015.
