Fund Now Collecting Donations for Hurricane Michael Victims
The Jewelers Disaster Relief Fund was created last year in the wake of Harvey and is still going.
New York—The relief fund for jewelers created in the wake of Hurricane Harvey is now looking to help those impacted by Michael.
Jewelers of America, the Diamond Council of America and National Jeweler started the Jewelers Disaster Relief Fund in 2017.
Originally intended to aid retailers impacted by Harvey, the organizations opted to expand the fund and make it permanent after Hurricane Irma hit the Southeast a few weeks later and wildfires were ravaging western states.
Now, the fund is in need of donations again to help the jewelers hit by Hurricane Michael, the devastating Category 4 storm that slammed into the Florida Panhandle last Wednesday, flattening entire towns.
Those who want to make a donation can visit the Disaster Relief Fund’s GoFundMe page.
