Kering’s Watch, Jewelry CEO Steps Down
Albert Bensoussan is leaving the luxury conglomerate to “pursue a personal project.”
Paris—Albert Bensoussan, CEO of Kering’s luxury watches and jewelry division, has stepped down, the luxury conglomerate confirmed.
The division includes jewelry brands Boucheron, Pomellato, DoDo and Qeelin and Girard-Perregaux and Ulysse Nardin watches.
“Kering thanks Albert warmly for his contribution over the last five years at the head of the watches and jewelry division,” said the company in a statement to National Jeweler Tuesday.
Bensoussan will “pursue a personal project outside of Kering.”
Prior to joining Kering, the luxury veteran led the jewelry and watches division at LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton for 16 years.
Kering reported “robust growth” in its jewelry segment in its recent third-quarter results, with sales up 16 percent to €612.3 million ($680 million).
Its watch segment faced “challenging” market conditions, the company said.
