JSA Offering $2,500 Reward in Arizona Murder Case
Police in Phoenix are searching for the man they believe shot and killed the 56-year-old employee of a gold buying store.
Phoenix--The Jewelers Security Alliance is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the man suspected in the shooting death of an employee of a Phoenix gold buying store.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the incident happened around 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 21 at 500 E. Dunlap Ave in north Phoenix. Witnesses reported hearing a single gunshot come from the business.
The suspect (pictured left in security camera footage) is described as a black male wearing a tan jumpsuit, beanie, glasses and a black-and-white backpack.
JSA President John J. Kennedy said this is the fifth murder of a member of the jewelry industry so far this year; there also has been one bystander killed and one customer.
The seven deaths surpass last year’s total of six (five jewelers and one traveling salesperson), which included the rare triple homicide that occurred at a jewelry store in Jackson, Mississippi right before Christmas.
Those who have information in the Phoenix case are asked to call the JSA’s reward hotline at 800-325-1883. Those who wish to remain anonymous but still collect the reward will be able to do so.
