Chow Tai Fook has opened its first U.S. location in the Macy’s store in Flushing, Queens.

New York--The Flushing neighborhood of Queens, New York, known as the “Chinese Manhattan,” is now home to the first branded shop-in-shop for Chinese retailer Chow Tai Fook.

The shop-in-shop opened at Macy’s Flushing location. An opening ceremony was held on Nov. 12.

“The launch of Chow Tai Fook at Macy’s Flushing is a terrific example of tapping into new business opportunities to differentiate our product assortments and engage the local consumers with unique in-store experience,” said Macy’s Executive Vice President for Business Development, Marc Mastronardi.

According to Macy’s, the shop-in-shop is approximately 500 square feet. It will carry a selection of 24-karat gold jewelry, gem-set jewelry, gold products and platinum jewelry.

“We are extremely delighted to open this new shop as it highlights the first-ever presence of a Chow Tai Fook branded shop in the U.S.,” commented Chow Tai Fook’s Managing Director, Kent Wong. “Macy’s excellent retail expertise and extensive network provide us with a desirable platform to distribute our jewelry collections in the U.S. market, and provide the customers with diversified products in superlative craftsmanship.”

Macy’s Flushing store is located at 136-50 Roosevelt Ave. The company said that Flushing is the fourth-largest commercial district in New York City.

Chow Tai Fook is listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange. The company’s website lists over 2,300 retail locations across mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.

The company’s partnership with Macy’s is its first foray outside of Asia.
