Eden Rachminov Releases Fancy Colored Diamond Grading Book
The diamond expert focuses on ways retailers can accurately assess and sell fancy colored diamonds to customers in Fancy Color Diamonds, The Pricing Architecture.

New York--Eden Rachminov wants to change the way colored diamonds are talked about.
In Fancy Color Diamonds, The Pricing Architecture, the diamond expert provides a framework by which fancy colored diamonds can be evaluated for conceptual pricing and presents “The Layer System,” in which each commercial aspect of a colored diamond, or “layer,” is explored.
The many layers discussed go beyond the “4 C’s” of colorless diamond grading, to provide retailers with a greater ability to communicate the qualities of a colored diamond to their customer.
Rachminov explained, “My goal in penning the book is to arm the entire industry, from miners and wholesalers to retailers and end consumers, with knowledge of the remarkable, yet widely unknown, attributes of fancy colored diamonds. My belief is that this will benefit the industry by bringing together, improving relationships, and growing this sector of the market in a positive way. Put even more simply, I want to better guide the next generation of sellers in this highly unique and niche market.”
Fancy Color Diamonds, The Pricing Architecture is available for purchase at FancyColorBooks.com. A portion of proceeds go to benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
Rachminov is the founder and managing partner of Rachminov Diamonds 1891. He created the Fancy Color Research Foundation and sits on its board.
In 2010, Rachminov published his first book, The Fancy Color Diamond Book, an introduction to the subject matter.
