Scott Kay, FIT Announce Design Contest Winner
Isabelle Meyers’ winning jewelry designs will be produced and revealed at JCK Luxury in Las Vegas this June.
New York--Scott Kay and Fashion Institute of Technology have announced the winner of their joint jewelry design competition.
Isabelle Meyers, a second-year jewelry design student at FIT, was awarded the top prize at a dinner earlier this month.
A panel of industry judges, including National Jeweler’s Associate Editor Ashley Davis, chose Meyers as the competition winner.
The panel also chose two first runners-up, Francesca Bates and Shanya Amarasuriya, and two second runners-up, Ashley Volbeda and Ruowei Cheing.
All the winners, who are second-year jewelry design students at FIT, will receive a cash prize and will have their competition drawings on display at the university, which is located in New York.
Meyers will receive $3,000 and will have her designs produced. She will travel with Scott Kay to the JCK Luxury Show in Las Vegas this June to unveil her bridal suite.
“We had an incredible experience partnering with FIT for this design contest,” said Kelly Kahn, Scott Kay’s director of brand management.
“Each student showcased excellent design skills, creativity, and extreme dedication to perfection. Scott Kay recognizes each student’s efforts and appreciates all who participated.”
