Charles Stanley, Yancy Weinrich Honored at Facets of Hope
At its annual gala in Las Vegas, Jewelers for Children raised more than $2 million to go toward children’s causes in the next year.

Las Vegas--At its annual Facets of Hope gala in Las Vegas, Jewelers for Children recognized two industry leaders for their longtime support of the organization: Charles Stanley, president of Forevermark USA, and Yancy Weinrich, senior vice president for the JCK shows, Luxury and JIS.
JFC also announced it has raised $2.2 million over the past year to go toward the children’s causes it supports in the year ahead. That brings the total amount the charity has raised since its inception in 1999 to $53.5 million.
Dennis Ulrich, JFC board chair, said: “What an amazing milestone for the charity, and particularly for our industry. Over the past 19 years, we have touched the lives of so many thousands of children and their families.”
Ulrich said that in the year ahead, JFC was pledging $500,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, $575,000 to Make-A-Wish America, $500,000 to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, $450,000 to the National CASA Association, $100,000 to Make-A-Wish India and $25,000 to the Santa-America Fund.
JFC also will give $50,000 to independent jewelers in the form of local grants, the selection of which will involve a social media voting campaign at a later date this year.
The 2017 Facets of Hope gala, held June 7, included a cocktail reception, dinner, live auction and silent auction featuring paintings by Angie Crabtree and Reena Ahluwalia, a watch giveaway, and an after-party sponsored by Hallmark Jewelry that featured a jazz band.
The evening’s program also featured Caesar, an 8-year-old violinist who played for the crowd. Make-A-Wish America granted his wish--to meet violinist and conductor Itzhak Perlman.
Josephine Nabukenya, an ambassador for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, was also present.
