Diamonds Direct Acquires Dallas Retailer
The vertically integrated, direct-to-consumer company has expanded in the Lone Star State with the acquisition of the Diamond Doctor.
Dallas--Diamonds Direct has announced its acquisition of Dallas retail jeweler Diamond Doctor.
It is the first Dallas location for Diamonds Direct, which has stores across the Southeast, including in Austin and San Antonio, Texas.
“After serving Dallas for more than a dozen years, we have now found the perfect partner to take our retail operations to the next level,” said Diamond Doctor’s founder David Blank.
Diamond Doctor began operating as Diamonds Direct on Nov. 2.
Diamonds Direct retained all Diamond Doctor employees and said that Blank “will stay on in a consulting role for a year or two.”
Itay Berger, president of Diamonds Direct, commented, “We are proud to expand our company to Dallas. We have always seen great opportunity in this market.”
“David Blank and the Diamond Doctor team have built a successful company focusing on customer service and community involvement. Diamonds Direct will honor the Diamond Doctor’s legacy by continuing to support local philanthropies and cherished cultural icons like the Dallas Cowboys.”
Amit Berger, senior vice president of Diamonds Direct, will relocate to Dallas to oversee operations.
“While we are bringing a fresh take and vast inventory to Dallas, we want to ensure Diamond Doctor’s loyal customers that they will be provided the same personalized customer service and top-of-the-line jewelry that they know and love,” he said.
“The same fantastic people at Diamond Doctor are still on staff, but now with more resources than ever before with the best guarantees and warranties in the industry.”
The Dallas location is Diamond Direct’s 10th retail store.
Diamonds Direct was founded in 1995. The Charlotte, N.C.-based company is vertically integrated, sourcing diamonds via their office in the World Diamond exchange in Tel Aviv, Israel, and then selling directly to consumers.
They offer loose and mounted diamonds at all of their locations and on their website.
