JA New York Announces Education Lineup for Spring Show
Competing online and hiring--and keeping--good salespeople will be among the topics addressed.
New York--JA New York has announced the lineup for its education programming at the upcoming spring show.
Among the highlights are a session headed by Shane O’Neill’s called “Competing Online—How to Build an Online Presence,” which will be held on Sunday, March 12 from 10:30 to 11:30am.
Also, Performance Concept’s Kate Peterson will speak on “Hiring and Keeping Sales Superstars for the Future.” Peterson's session will take place on Monday, March 13 from 1:20 to 2:20pm.
The education program at the JA New York show, which is owned by Emerald Expositions, is put together via Emerald’s partnership with Jewelers of America.
For more information on the show and to see the complete schedule for education sessions, visit JA New York’s website.
New to the show’s educational lineup this year will be a free breakfast “Idea Exchange,” in which retailers will connect to discuss concerns and share best practices.
“The Idea Exchange was created as a direct response to the needs of our retail members,” said Susan Thea Posnock, director of public affairs and education for JA.
“We spend a lot of time interacting with our members from across the country, and we discovered that many of them share the same concerns and challenges. By hosting a roundtable discussion, we’ll be providing a comfortable forum for peers to learn from one another and benefit from one another’s experiences.”
The free breakfast “Idea Exchange” will take place on Monday, March 13 from 8 to 10 a.m.
The event, which requires RSVPs, is currently sold out but those interested in attending can add their name to the wait list on EventBrite.com.
The JA New York Spring Show will take place March 12 to 14 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
