London--The De Beers-run International Institute of Diamond Grading & Research is going to start offering a course that teaches participants how to detect lab-grown diamonds.
Run by experts from the De Beers Technologies UK team and Jodine Perrin, the IIDGR’s director of education, the class is designed to teach students how to detect lab-grown diamonds in both the rough and polished state using a range of techniques and instruments.
The cost of the course is $2,999, and it can be delivered at various sites around the world through the use of a mobile lab. For more details on how to sign up, email education@iidgr.com.
The class on lab-grown diamond detection is the first in a series of education services the IIDGR plans to roll out in 2017. Other planned classes include a Diamond Foundation Course and a Polished Diamond Grading Course to be introduced later this year.
