New York--The Jewelry Information Center (JIC), the consumer education arm of Jewelers of America, recently completed its annual media tour to promote jewelry gift ideas in time for the holiday shopping season.
The TV segments feature JA Director of Public Relations & Special Events Amanda Gizzi promoting a number of different holiday trends, including convertible and stacking jewelry and updated classics in gold and platinum. They aired on ABC, NBC and CBS affiliate news shows across the country.
More than half of the segments aired live between 7:45 a.m. and noon EST on Dec. 3. The others were taped and are airing through Dec. 20.
Viewers in a number of cities across the country, including Tucson; Nashville, Tenn.; Philadelphia; Raleigh, N.C.; and Baltimore, saw the segments.
Gizzi featured pieces from a number of JA Supplier Members to demonstrate the trends, including: Andrew Hamilton Crawford, Byard F. Brogan, Charles Garnier Paris, CJ Recht, Le Vian, LJD Designs, Lori Bonn Designs, Mi Moneda, Mijou Jewelry, Orlanda Olsen, Pamela Huizenga, Paolo Costagli, Rarest Rainbow, Royal Chain, Ti Sento Milano and Zaiken Jewelry.
“It is essential that the Jewelry Information Center continues to promote gifts of fine jewelry throughout the year, especially during the holiday season,” Gizzi said. “We feel very strongly that these media tours give consumers guidance, encourage them to shop at reputable Jewelers of America-member stores and increase their desire for fine jewelry.”
