Boston Jewelers Club Elects New President
GSM Metals’ Ashley Cimini Singh took over the role from jeweler Rick Romano.
Boston—The Boston Jewelers Club, a fine jewelry membership organization that’s been around for more than 130 years, will start off the new year with a new president.
The BJC elected Ashley Cimini Singh, president of GSM Metals Inc. in Cranston, Rhode Island, as president for a two-year term.
She succeeds Rick Romano, the president of independent retailer Charles Frederick Jewelers in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
Singh has served on the board of the BJC for six years, including two as vice president. She brings her expertise and vast experience to the role, the club said in a news release.
Matt Khatib, secretary/treasurer of M.K. Benatti Jewelers in Newburyport, Massachusetts, was elected BJC vice president.
Established in 1888, the BJC meets twice a year at Boston-area restaurants to network and socialize.
Members pay annual dues of $325, and membership is open to all who work or service the jewelry trade.
