With the madness of the holiday season now behind us, I’ve been spending some free time getting caught up on some reading and TV watching. On my short list: the latest season of Gossip Girl. It’s a guilty pleasure that I can’t help but continue to tune in for, not only to catch up on the scandalous lives of the fictional Upper East Side set, but to check out how costume designer Eric Daman (he cut his teeth dressing the ladies of Sex and the City) has styled all of them.
Small stud earrings, delicate drops and classic pendants--along with the de rigueur headband--are among Blair’s go-to items, and this pair of Ellen Himic earrings (below) she wore on the show are a perfect fit. The onyx ring, meanwhile, is fit for none other than the reigning queen of the UES.
Among some of the designer’s newest pieces, I’m thinking this fun twist on the pearl necklace (below) would dovetail with Blair’s preppy, polished style. I wouldn’t be too surprised to see that bauble next time I’m doing some Gossip Girl catch-up.
