Jewels for a winner. Emmy Award winner Zendaya sported Bulgari at the virtual awards show this year.
A virtual awards show is par for the 2020 course, but the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards, broadcast Sunday night, still managed to shine courtesy of some major bling.
While most of the night’s stars opted for a pared down look for the socially distanced ceremony, appropriate for the COVID-19 era, some took advantage of the night’s tight camera shots to showcase killer earrings and necklaces.
Here were five of the night’s jewelry looks that didn’t get the demure memo, opting instead for a “more is more” attitude.
Zendaya was rightfully dressed to the nines; it’s not everyday one wins Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
The “Euphoria” star accentuated the open neckline of her Christopher John Rogers dress with a killer Bulgari collar featuring chunky amethysts, rubellites, diamond links and emeralds, plus an assortment of rings, all pictured below.
Actress Tracee Ellis Ross knows how to work an awards show look, traditional red carpet or not. She also opted for a maximalist vibe that would have worked just as well in a non-pandemic year.
Her gold gown was topped off with a vintage gold Tiffany & Co. collar and earrings that fit the 1980s feel of the Alexandre Vauthier dress.
Kerry Washington easily served the best earring game of the night.
The actress sported dazzling emerald cabochon drop earrings and ring from Chopard.
Which came first, the turquoise print Prada dress or the Irene Neuwirth 18-karat gold and turquoise necklace?
Let’s face it—stylists typically pick out the clothes first, but we’d like to think actress Holland Taylor’s outfit came together around this exquisite floral necklace.
Sapphires also had an Emmys moment thanks to Reese Witherspoon.
The star sported sapphire and diamond earrings, plus a matching ring, designed by Francesca Amfitheatrof for Louis Vuitton.
