JFC Launches 2017 Hope for the Holidays Program
It includes three card designs, an honor donation program, and contribution cards and inserts.
New York--Jewelers for Children has unveiled this year’s “Hope for the Holidays” program.
It includes holiday greeting cards featuring the designs of children representing Make-A-Wish America, for which Hallmark has donated all the printing.
The custom cards feature the children’ original artwork, and the Hallmark logo on the back and embossed on the envelope flaps.
There are three different designs to choose from, all drawn by children who had a wish granted.
In lieu of sending traditional holiday greetings, members of the jewelry industry can send these cards to show their support for the charity.
There also are contribution recognition cards that can be purchased with a donation to the JFC and sent to those on holiday lists, along with contribution card inserts available as an option for use with any holiday card.
In addition, companies can participate in the honor donation programs, in which they send letters to customers and suppliers, asking that a donation be made in their honor to the JFC in lieu of holiday gifts.
The program can be utilized by anyone in the industry; JFC provides suggested language for a letter and customized donation forms.

JFC also announced Friday that it has made a $10,000 donation to Save the Children to support efforts in areas of Houston struggling to rebuild after Hurricane Harvey.
The charity said it chose Save the Children after working with them in the past on a number of disaster relief responses and because of its concentration on helping children and their families recover as quickly as possible and return to a more normal life.
“Everyone has been overwhelmed with the news from the effected region and our board felt it was very important for JFC to contribute to the relief efforts,” JFC Chairman Dennis Ulrich said. “Our thoughts are with all of the people (affected by) this horrible tragedy, particularly those who are part of our industry family. Providing financial assistance from the industry’s charity was an easy decision.”
Jewelers for Children was founded in 1999 by the U.S. jewelry industry to help children in need.
It has donated more than $53 million since its inception to programs benefiting children whose lives have been affected by illness, abuse or neglect through charity partners St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Make-A-Wish America, the Elizabeth Glaser
