The 24 Karat Club of the Southeastern United States inducted five new members Saturday at an event held in the midst of the Atlanta Jewelry Show, which ended Monday.

In brand news, Pandora reported that it closed a total of 125 accounts in the Americas in the second quarter, while Hearts on Fire announced a new global advertising campaign that aims to change younger generations’ attitudes about diamond jewelry.

Also, the Rapaport Group’s monthly price report showed that diamond market sentiment has sunk to levels not seen since the 2008 downturn, while both the The Silver Institute and World Gold Council said demand for jewelry is up.
