Here Are the Jewelry Night Out Events Planned Across the US
The Women’s Jewelry Association’s one-night event, scheduled for Sept. 12, celebrates the industry and its members.
New York—In less than a month, Women’s Jewelry Association chapters across the country will celebrate the industry and its members with a night out.
The annual Jewelry Night Out event brings together designers, retailers, editors, salespeople, manufacturers and more to celebrate their passion and the work they do.
This year, it is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 12. WJA is offering discounts fo membership during JNO: new members save 25 percent on membership when they join, while renewing members save 10 percent on the renewal fee.
Each WJA chapter chooses how it marks Jewelry Night Out. Here are a few notable events.
This year, the New York Metro chapter is hosting its event at the Shamballa jewelry store in the city’s SoHo neighborhood. New to the event in 2019 is a jewelry design contest that’s open to all; the theme is New York City.
WJA Houston will host a movie night.
“Masters of Dreams” is a four-part documentary series that gives a behind-the-scenes look at the days of 13 jewelers who work for legendary houses. For Jewelry Night Out, the chapter will show the episodes on Boucheron, Chopard and Chaumet.
The WJA Twin Cities chapter will highlight three members in Minnesota who have a family history in the industry at its event held at the historic Woman’s Club of Minneapolis, while WJA Boston will meet up at the Mineralogical & Geological Museum.
To celebrate its seventh Jewelry Night Out, WJA Seattle will have a “Lucky #7 Casino Royale” theme.
Attendees will be encouraged to dress for the occasion, and the event also will have casino décor. Each JNO ticket for the chapter includes two poker chips that can be traded in for glasses of local wine. There also will be a silent auction and raffle to raise money for its scholarship fund.
