Riva Launches 3-D Printing for the Industry
The company can print a piece in a timeframe ranging from same-day to three weeks.

New York--Brooklyn-based Riva Precision Manufacturing has added a 3-D printing department for the trade.
The company can print a piece in a timeframe ranging from same-day to three weeks. Turnover depends on price point, size and the 3-D printer used.
An automated system allows for the upload of files to be accessed by the department director, and a quote is generated in real time on the website. There is a one-time flat fee for edits.
Once a file is approved, customers choose delivery or pick-up and receive an email confirmation of receipt of the file as well as a timeframe estimate for the final product.
Riva said resins are printed in high resolution and with high surface output to ensure excellence in quality.
For more information, visit the 3-D printing section of Riva’s website.
“The technology we have purchased will help us run an effective printing service bureau,” said Jennifer Theokary, manager of the 3-D printing department at Riva. “Ultimately, smooth surface technology through Riva Print offers exceptional production. The new department has been created with customer service in mind, working backward to ensure all touchstones are covered along the way. We guarantee satisfaction, alongside the exceptional quality our manufacturing has always been known for.”
With the launch of the expedited 3-D printing service, Riva is expanding its product development capabilities into new divisions and, to that end, has hired Jerry Taylor as product development director.
Prior to joining Riva, Taylor managed product development and casting at Hoover and Strong, where he created product line strategies and improvement plans across custom jewelry and cast products.
Before that, he had experience managing jewelers and shop workers for repairs, and also was a plant operation director for two other companies.
Riva said Taylor’s expertise across tools, techniques, cost analysis and manufacturability will complement its efforts for expanded specialty growth, with more of its select services becoming widely available to the trade.
