Owner of Jewelry PR Firm Honored by PRSA-NY
Olga González won the 2018 President’s Award for her service to the New York chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

New York--The New York chapter of the Public Relations Society of America recently honored Olga González, owner of jewelry PR firm Pietra PR and the director of networking for the WJA’s New York Metro chapter, for her service.
González received the organization’s 2018 President’s Award at a ceremony held earlier this month.
Established in 2003, the President’s Award recognizes a past or present member of the PRSA’s New York chapter who provides outstanding services to the chapter as well as to the national PRSA, and who demonstrates high standards of ethical conduct.
González is the immediate past president of PRSA-NY and is serving her fifth year on the chapter’s board.
She started her own agency, Pietra PR – The Jewelry PR Agency, six years ago.
Today, her clients include Christina Malle with the New York Jewelry Design Institute and Valani Atelier.
In addition, González is a member of Gem-A, the Association for the Study of Jewelry and Related Arts, and the New York Mineralogical Club. She is certified in appraisal and writes for various publications on gem- and jewelry-related topics. She also mentors students.
“Olga González has done so much to help our chapter advance its mission and goals, and has been an amazing friend and a mentor to me throughout my time with PRSA-NY,” PRSA-NY President Sharon Fenster said. “When it comes to the chapter, her service is truly unmatched. She’s always thinking about how we can do a better job serving our members, and what we can do to promote the values for which we stand.”
González received her award alongside the other PRSA-NY honorees at a ceremony held June 11 at the Mandarin Oriental New York.
The honorees were selected following a public nomination period and deliberation by a committee of PR executives, who presented their selections to the chapter’s leadership for final approval.
