Jewelers of America Adds 3 Board Members
Chad Berg, David Bouffard and Camile Hannoush join the trade association’s board of directors.

New York—Jewelers of America has announced the three new jewelry industry leaders elected to serve on its board of directors.
Chad Berg of Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry, David Bouffard of Signet Jewelers and Camile Hannoush of Hannoush Jewelers were elected at JA’s biannual board meeting, held on July 16 in New York City.
Berg is co-owner and vice president of Lee Michael’s Fine Jewelry, working across its stores in New Orleans and Lafeyette, Louisiana, and Jackson, Mississippi.
He assists with the company’s buying and oversees marketing. A GIA graduate gemologist, Berg is immediate past-president of Jewelers of Louisiana and also serves on the boards of the Jewelers’ Security Alliance and Jewelers for Children.
Bouffard is vice president of Signet Corporate Affairs at Signet Jewelers, charged with heading corporate social responsibility. He also serves on the boards of the Responsible Jewellery Council, World Diamond Council and CIBJO.
At Signet, he is the corporate liaison to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, SickKids and Akron Children’s Hospital.
Hannoush, meanwhile, has worked as a partner at Hannoush Jewelers since its inception in 1980. Today, the company operates more than 60 independent stores, which Hannoush manages alongside his eight brothers.
Today, his three daughters, DeAnna, Alycia, and Tanya, continue that legacy by working for the family-owned company.
The new board additions will serve a three-year term. The full list of board members is available online.
“We are proud to welcome Camile, Chad and David to the Jewelers of America board of directors,” JA President and CEO David Bonaparte said. “Together, they provide a vast amount experience and will be able assist Jewelers of America as we continue to support our members with the highest level of programs and benefits. I look forward to working with them.”
Berg, Bouffard and Hannoush replace two outgoing JA board members: Lane Schiffman of Schiffman’s in Greensboro, North Carolina, and Betsy Wolgemuth of Koser Jewelers in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania.
Bonaparte remarked, “Lane and Betsy have made tremendous contributions to our Board of Directors and our association. We thank them for their years of service and their commitment to Jewelers of America’s mission.”
