For 2014 Dash, retailer Fina adds a themed twist

New York--New York City retailer Michael C. Fina is teaming up with Hearts on Fire once again to host a diamond scavenger hunt in Manhattan, with this year’s search taking on a Halloween theme.
Scheduled to take place Saturday, which, for those counting, is just five days before Halloween, this year’s “Diamond Dash: Dash for a Diamond and a Cure” will require all participants to dress in costume for the duration of the hunt.
The costumed participants will make their way to various destinations in Manhattan via clues contained on their clue sheet. Upon reaching each location, they have to take a photo of themselves in a front of designated Dash signage and text in a code confirming they have reached the spot.
The top three teams that reach the most locations in the quickest amount of time will be deemed the finalists, and then will compete in one last challenge for the grand prize--either a Hearts on Fire engagement ring or two wedding bands from the brand, as well as a gift from the photography team at Photomuse. Whichever the winning couple chooses, they should be serious about taking the next step, as the dash must culminate in a marriage proposal.
Both the ring and the bands are valued at $20,000 and are courtesy of Hearts on Fire.
Other prizes include Michael C. Fina gift certificates for the runners-up as well as a prize for the couple with the best costumes.
Retailers all over the country hold scavenger hunts, like Michael C. Fina’s Diamond Dash, to raise awareness in the community and connect with potential bridal customers.
Michael C. Fina is a family-owned and -operated retailer that has been in business for more than 75 years. This is the fourth year in a row the retailer has held the Diamond Dash.
