This 45-Carat Round Diamond Could Sell for $6M Online
The D flawless stone is the highlight of a current digital auction from Christie’s.

The auction house announced the sale of “The Flawless Star,” a 45.46-carat round brilliant-cut D flawless diamond Christie’s says is the highest-valued jewel to be offered in an online-only sale. It’s estimated to sell for between $4 million and $6 million.
The Flawless Star is up for bidding now through April 7, along with the Christie’s “Jewels Online” auction, which includes more than 200 lots, more than half of which are being offered without reserve.
The No. 2 lot of the sale is predicted to be a necklace centered on a 12.12-carat pear-shaped diamond; it’s estimated to sell for between $550,000 and $650,000.
Other highlights include designs from renowned jewelry houses like Buccellati, Bulgari, Cartier, Graff, Harry Winston, JAR, Oscar Heyman, Tiffany & Co., and Verdura.

For example, there’s a pair of Harry Winston earrings featuring emerald-cut diamonds weighing 2.06 carats each that’s estimated to sell for $30,000-$50,000.
A Verdura wristwatch with a quartz movement, mother-of-pearl dial, and round diamonds in 18-karat gold is expected to sell for $25,000-$35,000, while a Cartier Art Deco diamond, onyx, and coral Panthère brooch could garner between $20,000 and $30,000.
There are also several Van Cleef & Arpels pieces with various interpretations of the brand’s iconic “Alhambra” motif.
A vintage turquoise Alhambra necklace is estimated to sell for $10,000-$15,000, and a pair of diamond “Magic Alhambra” earrings could garner between $15,000 and $20,000.
