Timex Launches ‘Stranger Things’ Watch Collection
With the series set in the 1980s, the company is reviving three of its watches from the decade.
The Timex Atlantis x Stranger Things 40mm watch ($89). The watch company has partnered with the Netflix series on a collection, just in time for the show’s new season.
Middlebury, Conn.—Timex announced a strange collaboration last week.
The company is partnering with Netflix’s “Stranger Things” on a timepiece collection, releasing it as the new season debuts.
The show follows the adventures of a group of friends who witness supernatural occurrences and uncover secret government plans.
Since the series is set in the early 1980s, Timex dug into its archive to bring back three “cult classic” watches from the decade: the Timex Camper, the Timex T80, and the Timex Atlantis.

The Timex Camper x Stranger Things watch will be worn by character Lucas Sinclair.
The Timex T80 x Stranger Things watch. The new watches all have an “Indiglo” backlight, a feature that uses an electroluminescent panel to evenly illuminate the watch dial.
“With the Timex x Stranger Things collection, two cult franchises join forces to create a capsule that is intrinsic to this pop culture moment, ” said Shari Fabiani, senior vice president of brand marketing and creative services at Timex Group.
“Through rich storytelling and ageless design, these special edition styles proudly resurrect one of history's most expressive decades that transcends through all generations. ”
The partnership is a natural fit as Timex watches have been worn by characters on the show. Sheriff Hopper has been seen sporting a Timex Atlantis while Lucas Sinclair will wear a Timex Camper from the Stranger Things collection in the upcoming season.

The partnership is a natural fit as Timex watches have been worn by characters on the show. Sheriff Hopper has been seen sporting a Timex Atlantis while Lucas Sinclair will wear a Timex Camper from the Stranger Things collection in the upcoming season.
Each new style has graphics from the show on the dial and has a customized alarm with the Stranger Things melody.
The watches also have an “Indiglo” backlight, a Timex feature that uses an electroluminescent panel to evenly illuminate the watch dial. The backlight reveals hidden images.
The two digital watches—the Timex T80 (34mm) and the Timex Atlantis (40mm)—both debuted around the time of character Will Byers’ mysterious disappearance in 1983, noted Timex.
The Timex T80 has a stainless steel case and bracelet. The Timex Atlantis is crafted in a resin case with resin bracelet. The analog quartz Timex Camper watch (40 mm) has a resin case and comes with a resin strap and an interchangeable fabric strap.
The Camper watch features upside down numerals. The Atlantis watch, meanwhile, features a surprise when the clock strikes 3 p.m., with the display revealing the “alternate reality of the Upside Down” for 20 seconds, per the company.
The watches, available now on the Timex website, each retail for $89.
Volume one of season four of “Stranger Things” is now available on Netflix with volume two launching July 1.
