Akron, Ohio--Jared the Galleria of Jewelry is getting into the holiday spirit with the return of its 12-day jewelry giveaway on Facebook, playing off the well-known holiday tune with a descending amount of winners each day.
Through Dec. 13, the “12 Days of Giveaways” sweepstakes will count down the days with a decreasing amount of winners--12 on the first day, 11 on the second, and so on. By the end, the sweepstakes will have awarded a total of 78 prizes.
So far the retailer has given away 12 sterling silver necklaces, 11 Open Wave diamond necklaces by Jane Seymour, and 10 holiday themed Pandora bracelets.
The “12 Days of Giveaways” contest is entered by “liking” Jared’s Facebook page, then guessing in a comment each day’s prize based on a daily teaser posted on Jared’s timeline.
The clue for the sterling basket-weave Louis Hill bracelets given away on day 3, for example, read: “This piece lets you show off ancient basket-weaving skills without lifting a finger (but maybe your wrist).”

Prizes increase in value as the days progress and the number of pieces given away go down. The first day’s prize retailed for $129, while the second and third days’ prizes were valued around $250.
