Tacy Diamond Pipeline Finds a New Publisher for 2017
Chaim Even-Zohar’s annual diamond report will be published by Indian consultancy Pharos Beam.
Mumbai--Chaim Even-Zohar recently announced his retirement, but his annual report on the diamond pipeline will continue.
Pharos Beam Consulting LLP, which is based in India, will publish the 2017 edition of the Tacy Diamond Pipeline.
Started in 1989, the report provides an independent view of the diamond pipeline, and “serves as a benchmark of industry value addition,” Pharos Beam said. It avoids inflated numbers in its analysis by counting every diamond once.
The Tacy Diamond Pipeline is often consulted for research of the diamond industry and its profitability.
Pharos Beam has assisted Even-Zohar in compiling the report since 2009, and is well versed in the methodology.
The company did not respond to inquiries as to whether they would continue to publish Tacy Diamond Pipeline beyond the 2017 analysis by press time.
In a press release, Pranay Narvekar of Pharos Beam commented, "The Tacy Pipeline is the starting point for any industry analysis and provides consistent and unbiased data for analysis without turnover based distortions.
“It is indeed a great privilege that we would be able to carry forward the Pipeline, and our association in its development in the past gives us the confidence that we would be able to continue to provide this service to the industry in the same consistent manner.”
