Tiffany & Co. unveiled its Masterpieces high jewelry collection while Karl Lagerfeld introduced the advertising campaign launched to support his fine jewelry line.

Meanwhile, a new trade show was announced for next year’s Las Vegas market week and Ylang 23 and TrendSeeder unveiled the winner of their new The Next Now competition for emerging jewelry designers.

And as August came to an end and September rolled in, the sapphire stepped into the birthstone spotlight and the auction houses began gearing up for the fall season of fine jewelry sales.
