Why do so many jewelers keep lines that are not selling? Peter Smith thinks the answer lies in these two behavioral principles.
Jennifer Meyer Is Opening Her First Store
The fine jewelry designer will debut a brick-and-mortar storefront at the upcoming Palisades Village shopping center next year.
Los Angeles--Jennifer Meyer’s eponymous fine jewelry line has long been a fixture of independent jewelry design in L.A., but now it’s solidifying its presence with a brick-and-mortar location.
Meyer will open her brand’s first boutique next year at Palisades Village, a yet-to-be constructed outdoor shopping, dining and lifestyle center from real estate developer Caruso.
“Opening my own store has always been a dream in the back of my mind,” Meyer said in a press release. “It seemed like just the right moment when the Caruso team came to me. The Pacific Palisades has always felt like quintessential California, and since I was born and raised in Los Angeles, this opportunity was a perfect fit. I’m excited to create a space that’s entirely my own and to showcase the breadth of the collection in one place.”
The store is expected to measure 500 square feet and will sell classic Jennifer Meyer everyday fine jewelry pieces, ideal for layering and stacking, as well as new limited-edition collections exclusive to the store.
“Jen has impeccable style and also is an exceptional businesswoman and friend,” Caruso founder and CEO Rick Caruso said. “I couldn’t be more thrilled that she’s opening her first store with us in Pacific Palisades, a town that she’s been a neighbor to throughout her life."
Caruso is best known for developing shopping centers like The Grove and The Americana at Brand, both ranked as two of the top 15 retail centers in the world based on sales per square foot by Shopping Center Today.
The Grove also earned the second slot in a list of 10 highest sales shopping centers in the U.S., compiled by Fortune.
Jennifer Meyer is the first fashion brand to sign on to the Palisades Village project.
