From the Emmys to the auction houses, this week suffered no shortage of spectacular jewels.

The Primetime Emmy Awards took place Sunday night in Los Angeles, where big earrings were big on the red carpet, though necklaces were hard to spot.

Bonhams sold a 3.81-carat fancy intense blue diamond for $3 million while Christie’s New York held a sale of jewelry that once belonged to the late Nancy Reagan and Lucapa Diamond Company unearthed another large rough diamond at its mine in Angola.
